ANOTHER DAY AT ROAD AMERICA

Beautiful weather today if a bit chilly in the morning but plenty of sunshine and no mosquitoes....what's not to like?
~
SVRA, the series at the track this weekend, defines this group as F4...(Honda powered open-wheeled racers); it's a large field and all the drivers are youngsters trying their best to get into the racing scene.  They must be a minimum of 15 years old...most have many year of gokarting experience.  It's a stark contrast to the rest of the field driving vintage cars that are 3 or 4 times older than the kids driving the F4s.  Most of the vintage car drivers are, themselves, vintage...most of them have grandchildren the age of these F4 drivers.
~
They make plenty of mistakes...but it's a learning opportunity, right?  Between yesterday (which was full of youthful testosterone) and today (which was a tad more conserved) there were several red flags and dustups that resulted in bent fenders but no serious injuries.  Tomorrow is another day.
~
EXTRA:  It's Dandelion City at the track.....most are going to seed and are the perfect distraction while waiting for the next race to start.

Best in Large.
