After the Rain…..

The world is washed fresh and clean. We have had a decent fall for Blenheim, luckily not enough to discolour the waters of the Taylor River where we walked this morning. The big pool here has had a clean out with fresh water pushing through recently. We had a day of mixed weather, but too wet for any gardening. Leaves are starting to fall in earnest in my garden. It is strange, but the leaves on the flowering cherry have only just started to carpet the ground. Their fall is late for time of year. A knowledgeable gardening friend suggests that is because of the strange weather patterns with a lot more rain and warmer temperatures than usual. However my electric leaf blower will be making its annual appearance when the layers of leaves dry out any time soon.
