Life after Burradoo, NSW

Canowindra

We’ve been staying in Canowindra for a couple of nights. It is known as the hot air balloon capital of Australia – more flights are said to take place here annually than anywhere else in the country.

Canowindra was established in 1847. It experienced a resurgence in 1910 when the railway came through. Many new buildings were built then and others were refurbished. Many of them still stand today.

The four photos show examples of these buildings. As well as us, there was group of vintage car owners in town today.

The third extra will appeal to the observant blippers who will notice what is missing.
