The Happy Couple

Backblip from yesterday when we were in Glasgow for the wedding of Lindsay and Jack and so we were quite late home.

Lindsay is a young vet that I have known since she was a school girl when she first came to the surgery for work experience and became hooked on becoming a vet - and a brilliant one she has become. 

I was delighted to be asked to write her reference for university and I am very touched that she credits me with inspiring her but it was obvious from her father’s speech that she had shown signs from the age of 4.

Although she was an Edinburgh University ( Dick Vet ) graduate and a distinction one at that, she is now working at the Glasgow University vet school. I am sure her vast knowledge and amazing teaching skills will be of huge benefit to the students who meet her in the first opinion practice that she has recently been very involved in setting up.

She has spent some time working in our practice and recently returned to help out as a locum for a couple of weeks but from conversations I had yesterday with her present work colleagues I suspect she has found her niche combining working in practice but passing on her knowledge and enthusiasm to the next generation of young vets.

Always a party animal at our Christmas staff nights out the extra shows that a wedding dress doesn’t hold Lindsay back ! The official wedding photographer was even getting in on the action.
