Fifty Shades of Green

We had a lovely walk today across Westleton Heath up to Dunwich Forest. The weather was glorious except for the fact that despite the blue skies and warmer temperatures, there was still a stiff breeze from the North-east. We saw hardly any wildlife and heard relatively few birds. The Sandling Heathland in Suffolk is beautiful at any time of year, but in Spring, the range of greens is remarkable - from the dark Scots Pines through to the lime green of the young, fresh Birches to the acid green of the emerging Oak foliage - seen here.
