Male Peregrine falcon

Some good news today we have a breeding pair of peregrine falcons on Lincoln cathedral again. Apparently the old female died about 10 weeks ago who had done really well for a good few years with lots of broods, but although she had laid eggs the last few years no chicks hatched and she defended her territory well so no other females got a look in, . Life goes on so to see this today was  a joy.
For the technically minded this was shot with the Olympus 40-150 with the 1.4X converter plus the inbuilt digital converter with the camera switch to hand held high definition, it a huge crop as he is perched very high. Will take my longer lens next time I get up to the cathedral.
