A Meandering Life...

Up and Down

Today I Blip total opposites from my back garden. One using my telephoto lens the other with a macro.

The worker bee with its heavily laden pollen sacks was working the largest flowering shrub in my garden at present. It is a 6'+ gorse bush next to my wildlife pond. Needless to say the flowers all find their way into the water...

The flower is a Dove's foot crane's-bill, aka Geranium molle, my lawn has a number of these growing in it this year. Each flower is about half the size of the worker bee. Apparently they grow in poorly maintained lawns, hooray, I'm getting it right at last. More wildflowers the better. ;o)
