Brunch

The house wakes slowly. Tea and coffee are drink. An omelette is made and radishes are finely sliced.

Em goes. Kerry and I start weeding the bottom beds in the polytunnel. There’sa lot to be done, but we make good progress. When Kerry heads home, Nick joins me in the tunnel and we continue weeding.

For tea, I steam volunteer potatoes from previous year’s beds and a white cabbage that has been hiding in the fridge. Three frozen veggie sausages are defrosted and air fried. They’re crispy and, with the addition of mayo and chilli sauce, taste wonderful.

Stewed rhubarb for afters and some podcasts on the sofa.
