sine die

last day of the regular 83rd session - this is the floor of the texas senate around 2:30p.

it was somewhat of a crazy day because no sooner had sine die been announced than the lieutenant governor, david dewhurst, called the legislature back into special session 83-1 to begin at 6p that night.

we hung around for about an hour worth of proceedings before they adjourned, and then it was off to all the parties. the legislature is over for us, anyway.
