NZ Autumn 2024

Tiny mechanical Tuesday.

The blip is a 1/43rd scale model of Graham Hill's 1967 Team Lotus 49 Ford Cosworth which only lasted 10 of the 90 laps whereas team mate Jim Clark won in 2 hours 15 minutes.
This win by Clark was the first for Cosworth in Formula One and went on to win a total 176 including in 1969 and 1973 wining every F1 race in those seasons. Cosworth's last win was in 2003.

I was supposed to be photographing a Porsche for a friend today but that was put off as was my wrist surgery for tomorrow which is not Friday now!

The Extra was taken on Monaco Peninsula and having had a 4.43 tide yesterday the residents along that end must have been a little concerned and the debris on the road shows how far it came up.

The ship Shilling has now been towed out of Tasman Bay and is residing in Wellington Harbour for repair.

The New Pilot Boat I Blipped has now been delivered to Ports of Tauranga.

The weather has been stunning, again, we've had the doors to the deck wide open all day and it was still 25 degrees in the lounge and only nine days till the first day of winter.
