Sunny border

For the past three days I have been removing an old fence along the back garden, which is mostly held together by ivy. This has been my ‘wildlife corridor’, more by neglect than by design, and I’m sure it is used by hedgehogs and other creatures. The new houses on the other side are nearly ready and the builders started putting a new fence in, but left the old one. So I am in a race to get the old one off before the new panels going in.
I really like having it open, and for the first time in decades the evening sun can shine on that part of the garden, making it look very magic.
The wild life corridor will be restored when the new fence is finished.
