Plan B ...

Ho hum.  Today is a sea day as we were heading to Motril, Spain.  However, the lovely Maritime pilots in the port of Lisbon (supposed to be our port of call the day after Motril) have decided to call a strike from May 25th until May 27th.

A big headache for our ship, because Lisbon is a turnaround port -- lots of people getting off to fly home, and more people coming aboard for the start of their cruise!  In order to be able to disembark and embark people, we have had to cancel our visit to Motril, and are now heading full steam ahead in order to arrive in Lisbon before the pilots strike.

This is a picture of the screen in the theater aboard, where we were summoned for an update on the situation this morning.

Oh well ... I do think "Motril" sounds like something you should be asking your doctor about ... so perhaps not such a big loss!
