Carol's ramblings

Interment day

Final resting day for AJ, Auntie Joyce.
there has been a delay as we wanted tge stone to be ready at the same time as interment.
Cousins (and partners) gathered in Verwood, Dorset to say our last goodbyes.
We sang a hymn:

Jesus bids us shine, with a clear, pure light,
Like a little candle burning in the night;
In this world of darkness, we must shine,
You in your small corner,
And I in mine.

Jesus bids us shine, first of all for Him
Well He sees and knows it if our light grows dim;
He looks down from Heaven to see us shine
You in your small corner, and I in mine.

Jesus bids us shine, then, for all around,
Many kinds of darkness in the world abound;
Sin and want and sorrow, so we must shine,
You in your small corner, and I in mine.

Jesus bids us shine as we work for Him,
Bringing those that wander from the paths of sin;
He will ever help us if we shine,
You in your small corner, and I in mine.
[undertaker joined in too]

Cousin Sue lay some roses by the plot - the plot is right next door to my parents.

Just standing chatting away from the plot (to enable the grave-diggers to do their bit), a robin was happy watching us all.

At peace at last AJ, good bless.

Walking the dogs tonight, this lovely poppy was taking in the afternoon rays in a wild planted area (containing cornflowers also).
