Centrestage

As you can see from the photo, I was actually standing 'centre stage'. At Centrestage, a wonderful place in Kilmarnock that's created a neighbourhood within the old academy building.

It's a beautiful place, with a lot going for it. Not least, excellent soup and coffee on offer.

The theatre space is remarkable too, as its one of the most accessible theatres in the world. For wheelchair users, it's not just about being able to be in the audience, or on the stage, but being able to be the lighting engineer, the sound technician and the director too. This place makes it possible.

As Fiona, the heart and soul of the place told me, "the applause is for everyone."
