Dreary

A mostly overcast sky all day with rain moving in late afternoon and evening. It proved to be a perfect day for plant shopping and transplanting plants • We visited our favorite plant store this morning to purchase veggie seedlings and a few packets of seeds, but came away with much more! So many wonderful perennials teased our attention and landed in our cart. All to enhance the yard for our bee, butterfly and hummingbird friends. Fortunately we ran out of room, LoL, but we’ll be returning soon because we didn’t even look at the annuals! • We spent the afternoon transplanting perennials to clear the bed for Gary’s guys when they return tomorrow. The flower bed that we’re emptying will be converted to patio, ie we’re expanding the backyard patio area • Tomorrow we’ll assist the guys while we continue weeding. This weekend we’ll get the veggie garden planted • Mrs Cardinal rested quietly in the lilac trees this afternoon. Mister still brings her food :)
