Anyone home?

I came back from a walk yesterday, and these two were staring into the window. The food dishes were empty and they have figured out that the big creature in the house is the one that feeds them. 
They are often waiting outside the sliding glass door when I get up in the morning (see extra). Today, the female hung around all day, even while workers were fixing the fence. She comes over to me now and quacks at me. She also naps in the yard during the day. I have to admit they are incredibly cute even if they poop all over the place.
