The greening

It this case an ash bursting into leaf. We are enjoying a sunny day. I went out for a short walk took the air, and admired the verdancy all around.
  Bird news. When I went out there was an oystercatcher chick on a porch roof. At least it didn't have far to fall and was being fed by a parent. When I returned it had managed to fall to the ground where it will be very vulnerable.
   In other news tension is building between two women on the opposite sides of the street who don't like each other. They do the best hurling of insults I've ever heard. Warm weather brings out the worst in folk.
