In the Pink

It has been a glorious day and Mrs CBL and thoroughly enjoyed our beach walk in the morning.  Later in the day I decided to take a walk up to Slains Castle as I knew it would by now be surrounded by sea pinks/thrift.

I took this picture of the clumps of thrift growing on the crumbling wall of the old garden with the castle in the background.  In the extras I’ve posted more thrift which is growing on the headland overlooking the North Sea.
