Tulips.....

....bright red with a hint of a black centre once fully opened, love the combo of red and green, a lovely brightness to our rather dull, feeling like winter kind of day.

When we left for our break away, these buds were hardly developed. I left them out in the cold on our veranda and couldn't believe how much they had grown, I can't stop admiring them :)

It's nice to be home again, a wander through my garden with a cuppa in  hand looked rather bleak. Flowers are in short supply, weeds have taken over rather than slowed down, fungi enjoying the moisture from an overgrown lawn and there are far too many cabbage tree leaves waiting to be picked up, busy times ahead.

Mum felt like a wander and called in to say hi. We chatted over a cuppa, it was so nice to catch up :)

Warm thanks for all the lovely comments, stars and fav's left while I was away. I couldn't wait to put Peter's Pool up back on the 16th May, it was such an idyllic spot, so calm and moody as we listened to birdsong and admired the mountains, one of those special moments.

Hoping you're all keeping well :)

Happy Friday everyone :)
