Memorial Day...

.....That we must never forget.

We visited the American War cemetery at Margraten to bring flowers to the grave of Capt. Bernard Sweet.
We do this every year before Memorial Day.
My parents adopted the grave after World War II.
When they died, the adoption passed to us.
Bernard piloted a Thunderbolt of the 9th Air Force when he was killed in action on March 25th 1945.
He was born on October 25th 1919 in Rushford (NY USA), much too young to die.
