Third generation

This Weigela is brightening a corner above their hedgehog house in our daughter's garden. It came from a cutting from our Weigela at our last home in Devon, which in turn came from a cutting from my mother-in-law's Devon garden. I, too, have a cutting in a pot (but not in flower). I was thrilled when I noticed this one had put out such long, strong, flowering branches. Thanks to BikerBear for hosting Flower Friday.

Thank you for all your lovely comments yesterday on the youngsters' campervan. It got them to the festival no problem, but the baby boy did not settle overnight. Apparently, it was midnight before he at last went to sleep, and thereafter kept waking. Consequently, the parents have been exhausted all day. They're giving it one more night to see if it's any better before making any further decisions. Fingers crossed.

It's been lovely weather and, apart from doing a few more jobs at the travellers' house (mowing grass and sorting laundry), we had our morning coffee in our garden, and I baked banana loaves.

Have a lovely weekend, blipmates.
