Sgwarnog: In the Field

Pignut

Revisiting the Hawthorn, but this time with Pignut to complement it.

If the Pignut is out the Chimney Sweeper moths won't be far behind. No sign yet but plenty of Brown Silver-line wherever there is dead bracken.

There weren't many butterflies about on my lunchtime walk, but a reasonable variety: Green Hairstreak, Wall, Peacock, Comma, Holly Blue, Orange-tip, Speckled Wood, Small White and Green-veined White.

After work I got the train down to Wales for the bank holiday weekend.
