Shadows shadows everywhere

I’ve been trying to get some pears ripe for eating. As part of the process I’ve put them on a windowsill in the sun. They are a variety called Blush and are imported from South Africa but I have previously purchased some similar from the local fruit and vegetable shop from grown in France
