Flowering soon

Another beautiful morning. After a breakfast of scrambled eggs and grilled bacon on toast, I went out to attend to the bird population (sparrows mainly) but did have a pair of collared doves drop by. So bird baths washed out and filled with fresh water, well rain water from the butt. And bird food replenished.

A couple of chairs out on the patio as Sue was going to pop in for a coffee on her way home. It was most pleasant to sit out there later. This afternoon walked down to S'bury's for a couple of things I forgot yesterday.

So really a lazy day. And the blip is of one of the first sprays of Penstemon nearly ready to flower, along with a greenfly, and if you look closely, there is some cuckoo spit, the white frothy liquid, secreted by froghoppers, which we apparently have nine species here in the UK.

Hope your weekend is going well ;-)x
