Demoiselle

A couple of hours in the garden this morning and we finished moving the soil which had been dug out for the new pond. It looks much tidier in the back garden now. More weeding, they keep on growing. This afternoon we did a local walk looking for the swans and their cygnets. We didn’t find them, they must be hiding somewhere up river. We did spot some little egrets nesting in the trees. I have never seen this before but presume they nest in the same way as herons do. Why they have chose to nest next to the busy crows is a mystery,. I spotted the demoiselle on our return home in a wooded lane, I only had one chance of a shot before it flew away.
