The Fruit of the Glory Bower….
……. aka Clerodendron. I have a beautifully shaped Glory Bower tree in my garden. I love it for its flowers in the spring. They are wonderfully fragrant, so much so that their fragrance can be detected throughout the eastern end of my land. It’s one big fault is its propensity to send out suckers and also produces dozens of seedlings. That makes the plant unwelcome in Plant Nurseries. However I pull out/dig out every unwelcome offspring when ever I spot them. The autumn fruit are amazing. Just take a closer look!
