I fear the days are numbered of going to the Torrens Island markets on a Sunday morning. Today there were only 4 stalls. One of the usuals was on holiday in Greece, it was wet, breezy and grey in the morning, and times are tight.
To be honest, it should be a no-brainer to come along to a weekend market and get cheap(er) fresh produce. It's still a lot less expensive than going to a supermarket, and way more friendly. But, it's all cash sales and outdoors.
The view is more impressive than looking at corporate banners and junk food promos. I do notice that people attending ( both young and old) aren't looking at their phones as much. That is possibly the most telling sign of the customer profile.
