Splash!

Our first full day at the holiday lodge…it is a very large ‘mobile home’ … 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large open plan kitchen/living/dining area….none of your ‘galley kitchen areas’ like we have had before. It also has a (plastic) deck around two sides!

This morning we went to the beach…it was a trifle chilly in a stiff northerly breeze. Much paddling and shell collecting was done! I collected this shot of a small wave splashing against a rock.

There was an RNLI hovercraft buzzing up and down and the inshore lifeboat was around…I think it was a training day, there didn’t seem to be any urgency to the manoeuvres.

After lunch, the ladies and girls went to the swimming pool and I walked along the front to the old lighthouse(now a holiday rental) and back…a 3.5 mile walk. Added an extra of the lighthouse framed by the remains of an old chapel.
