Bowness-on-Windermere

Our special trip to Scotland to continue celebrating Aliscotia's birthday started with an overnight stay in Carus Golf club near Kendal in the Lake District. However, we decided to get a bite to eat in Bowness. It has been about 10 years since we were last there and we we amazed how well the marina area has been developed. Lots of nice eateries and huge number of moored boats made for a very attractive setting. The weather was warm, sunny and calm - An amazing start to the week of celebrations.
