Last minute socialising in full swing. I deleted yesterday's photos because they were awful, but we went to our last intercambio in the morning and then met French friend J and her son B for tapas in the evening. Today lapsed blipper guiri and her partner F invited us over for lunch, an event which lasted from 2 pm until 6, with much chat and admiring of the photo books they have done of their trips to India. This is the view from their terrace. Extra: the view over the vega to the hills in the other direction.

The weather has been quite bizarre. It absolutely poured with rain yesterday morning; we thought hardly anyone would turn up for the intercambio but in fact there were about 16 of us. The local animal refuge had planned a fundraising fair at the same venue, in the courtyard outside, but they were rained off. Since they'd already baked cakes for it, they sold them off by the slice to the customers in the bar, including us, and managed to raise 200 euros in all, not bad for a non-event.

It was still raining when we left, so it seemed like a good idea to use up some more of our season ticket at the spa. But by the time we got there at 4 pm, it was wall to wall sunshine. Result, no-one else was there and we spent an hour enjoying the facilities alone.

This morning it was sunny, and at B and F's we started lunch on the terrace. Then the wind got up, we retreated indoors for dessert and coffee, and by the time we were driving home it had started to rain again. Quiet evening in now, with most of our packing done. I can't understand how we got all this stuff in the car.
