Caterpillars Crawl

I came upon these tiny creatures out in the fields with Pepper this morning. The nest had been woven round some plants near the hedgerow and most seemed to be climbing upward. I'm assuming they have recently hatched out and on their way to consuming vast amounts of greenery or become bird fodder. They were about 15mm long.

Identification requested please.... I've tried looking on Google.
