a heron

some drama at the beach - a couple of black-backed gulls happily posing (see extra). The heron came along and sat nearby, no reaction from the gulls. A couple of smaller gulls found a tasty morsel at the top of the beach - the black-backed gulls sprang into action chasing them off and then had a go at the heron who beat a hasty retreat. I found it further along near the harbour.
