I planted 8 seedlings last year but they were a victim of the animal/bird/beastie that pulled up/snapped various things and whilst 3 survived they were more than a bit small and I didn't cut any stems ...

This year I've had zero germination from my seeds so am delighted that I left the ones from last year in the ground; plenty of stems to cut this year!

Meanwhile the first cosmos to flower is one that was victim of this years destruction; snapped and bent at it's base but it's obviously still alive - see extra!

Have got barrier fencing arriving tomorrow though so hopefully everything will last until then!!
