I Was Framed

Just hours after having broken my ankle, I was being operated on to stabilise the joint. This contraption is known as an external fixator (here wrapped in bandages) and was applied due to the break being a Trimalleolar Fracture and a nasty one at that, the latter description being one I could understand. It turns out I'd broken both fibula and tibia in three places and dislocated the ankle just for good measure. Nevertheless, I'm being very well looked after and the food is surprisingly palatable too.
