Fox and cubs

There are no foxes on the Isle of Mull, except these lovely wild flowers with the common name fox and cubs. Apparently this vibrantly coloured flower is so-called because of the appearance of the open fox-coloured flowers alongside the buds. I thought they looked lovely amongst the white froth of the pignut flowers in this un-mown corner of our garden.
It was yet another beautiful day of warm sunshine and blue skies and this caused me to jokingly remark to a fellow blipper that we will soon have a water shortage. Little did I know how true my words of jest would turn out to be. Today, the Tobermory Harbour Association was asked by Scottish Water to close their facilities: public toilets, showers and laundry facilities as well as water dispensing at the yacht pontoons, due to an island-wide water shortage!
