Fountain

The fountain in the centre of Dumfries has been restored and I think it looks stunning, I could see several people stopping to have a look and also take photographs.  It was unveiled in 1882 and built to replace an earlier fountain in order to supply fresh water to the town after cholera epidemics in 1832 and 1848.  I agree with the council website that it feels appropriate to restore it after the pandemic.
