Tabby cat and swans with cygnets.

It is a fantastic warm sunny afternoon. 17c.
I was very happy to see the tabby cat with little red bell this morning. He was playful and sweet.
Paul and me went for a canal stroll a little later on and found the parent swans with their seven cygnets, swimming happily in the sunshine. Then they all came up onto the grass banking to preen. Paul got beaked twice by the father swan as we walked slowly passed them. Paul got targeted simply because he let me walk on the inside of the path.
The father swan is hyper defensive and who can blame him after one precious cygnet has already disappeared.
On our way home we bought some exotic fruit Solero ice lollies to enjoy later.
Yesterday we were surprised and delighted when three young children on half term holiday, asked if they could clean our car for £1.50. They were very polite and brought their bucket and sponges. 15 minutes later the car was beautifully clean and gleaming. Paul was very pleased and paid each child £1 for their good work.
