Club championships

This morning we had a small regatta, our club championships over 2 km. First I raced with Esmee in the double (this was only the 3rd time we rowed together). It was a bit bumpy during the race as a lot of pleasure and sailing yachts passed the race in the other direction. We were pretty pleased by our results. Then a quick sip of water and then it was time to board the eight (see extra photo). Racing 2 km is rather painful - as you build up quite a lot of lactic acid in your leg muscle’s… you can see that on our faces as the photos were takes just before the finish line.
