Afghanistan Hercules Pembrey

Today we had lunch at Amelia's Diner on Pembrey Airport, with a group of former RAF National Servicemen who were stationed here from 1952-1957 with 233OCU.

Mr "Bob" Hope said that the RAF were going to practise landing a Hercules aircraft (transport plane) on Pembrey Beach, because it was the only strip of sand that would mirror that faced by pilots serving in Afghanistan.

I managed a great number of shot this afternoon while walk the dog. However, due to the stunning lack of wi-Fi and 3G. My iPad and camera would not talk to each other.

Therefore, this is why you do not have an image of the Hercules, but just have a picture of my footprints in the sand looking across the bay towards Tenby, Penbrookshire.
