Glen Vale

This was taken near the end of a circular walk starting at the Bonnet Stane (a stone in the shape of a hat) up on to West Lomond, and back down through the delightful Glen Vale.

I know this isn't a great composition, but it does capture the essence of the Glen for me. You can even see John Knox's Pulpit if you squint hard.

Near the car park we came across a sheep that had climbed up onto a narrow wall and then put its head through the fence above. Pushing its head back threatened to push it off the wall, either backwards off a 2.5m drop or leave it hanging by the neck. Instead I tried the new Scottish Police 101 number, and they found the farmer. We saw him arrive while we were half way up the hill.
