Roses on the balcony

I spotted these roses walking up through the old village. We had a brief meeting after the service to try to sort out the reporting requirements for statutes and accounts that the Prefecture is imposing, which all churches have to comply with. This follows new French laws which are designed to keep a close eye on churches and their finances after recent terrorist attacks associated with Islamic extremists. I had some lunch on my return and then joined James and Peta for some tennis practice. I played a close set with James at the end. I have not managed to beat him yet but I came close today. I returned home to watch some of Roland Garros on the television.
