Dromore nature reserve

Decision made to head to Co Clare for couple of days in camper. Packed and gone by mid morning. A scorcher of a day and the roads were very quiet. Good mooch about the fascinating Quin Abbey ruins and then onto Dromore Nature Reserve , which was such a good move - lots of shade and water . Only walked about 5 km because of heat , what a stunning place and oozing wildlife.
Onto Mountshannon for a meet up with Frank at the arts festival, danced, chatted and sat in the park to an Irish eclectic live band and then back to Franks for dinner and a walk down to the lake after sunset. Feel like we’ve been in holiday for days !!
Late news that my dad is in hosp, he has my mum and brother with him and will be ok with this particular short term problem, he has progressive heart failure and it is progressing a lot at the moment. Very glad I’m heading over to see them in a few weeks . Love my dad to the moon and back x
