Sunbeams

Afternoon out

This afternoon we visited the grounds of Court House near Yeovil.  The owners have made their property of 26 acres of meadow available to the public.  They have a memorial field where trees are planted in memory of loved ones; converted a barn (extra photo) for charitable purposes, St Margaret's Hospice and the Geranium Trust being the main ones.  The barn is used for meetings, small celebrations, or just somewhere to go and sit quietly in a comfy armchair.  A wood is being planted and an allotment and people are welcome to visit or volunteer with the gardening. The cottage in the photograph is a holiday let.

We never knew this place existed until today.  It was busy making money  for the hospice and there was tea and homemade cake available in the barn after wandering around in the hot sunshine.
