Today is the 10th anniversary of the tragic loss of the man known simply as DJ.

I took the photo in the photo in 1999.
It's the man himself at Creg-Ny-Baa on his way to the first of his 3 wins that week.
A feat he repeated again the next year. And the next.
I'm the first to admit that it's not a great picture, but it's one I'm really proud of as it shows the master at work.

I know the TT isn't everyones cup of tea, and some of you won't even have a clue what I'm on about. All you need to know is that this man was very special, and those of us who saw him in action will never forget him.
