Saluting the Moon…..

There was a full moon riding fairly high in the western sky this morning. A willow tree is seen here bowing to the moon. A Pied Shag (Cormorant) is sitting in the willow above the moon supervising proceedings.
I have had a busy day. Niece Deborah and her nephew, Finn (my great-nephew) visited. It was lovely to see them. They were en route from Nelson to Christchurch. Maisie thinks Finn is pretty cool and cuddled up on his knee. My “surrogate Grandson, Ricky and his lovely partner, Mary are visiting from Auckland. Maisie was overjoyed to see Ricky. She sat on his knee in the car when Keith and I picked up Maisie when she was a little puppy. She had been flown down from her breeder in Auckland over seven years ago. Maisie has never forgotten Ricky. It was a warm fun morning here… Family and friends are so special.
