Quod oculus meus videt

Golf Course Goslings

I did a lot of walking today.  To and from the swimming pool before breakfast, then back from and up to the local garage that is trying to sort out a communication error on my car.

To make the walk from the garage more interesting I cross a golf course built some years ago, which has never opened.  They still keep the fairways and greens cut, but there is no clubhouse and no prospect of it opening.  Despite this work goes on to extend it from 9 to 18 holes.  Apparently, they can make money from companies being allowed to import inert waste onto the land to form the fairways.

These goslings and their parents crossed my path making a bee line for one of the pools on the course.

It was fascinating this evening to see, as the sun set, that the clouds rolled in from the east.  If only they rolled back when the sun rose, but today the sunshine did not break through until late morning.
