Not taking a ferry, but they are iconic to Oban ..

Travel day; train to Perth, met my brother there, and he drove to Oban; it's a long time since I was last on that road, with him and my parents, for family holidays. Sun came out as we went West, 19C, car top open. That road has spectacular scenery, mountains and lochs, but we didn't stop. So you get a shot of one of the ferries that make island living possible at the ferry terminal beside the Railway Pier. I'm staying in a little flat opposite Oban Library. Here for a funeral; my father's brother-in-law, who died aged 97.  Funerals are for the living .. expecting to meet people from that side of the family.
