Meadow Saxifrage

Last week I found new populations of Meadow Saxifrage  and Field Mouse-ear at Manthorpe, in dry acid grassland grading to  flood meadow with Ragged-robin. It was also quite a surprise to see Sweet Cicely and Milk Thistle on the edge of the field.

While we were in the area we dropped into Belton Park and found several species that don't appear to have been recorded from that monad previously including Knotted Clover, Narrow-leaved Vetch, Little Mouse-ear, Crested Hair-grass and Spreading Meadow-grass (I seem to have got my eye in for this one again!).
