Feathered Friends

Blackbird and Thrush seem to get along fine, even if they're in competition for worms. Both beaks were busy digging in the lawn. And I'm still finding snail shells lying around from Thrush's breakfasts.

Had a lovely day helping out with grandchildren. Our poor daughter is exhausted at the moment - lots of broken nights - so her engine was running on empty. Pleased we're back well enough to help.

The young master is not quite seven months old yet, but we are all convinced that we heard him say 'hello' and 'high five' today, and our daughter says it's not the first time she's heard both these. He grins happily whenever anyone chats to him, but he doesn't demand attention in between; he is happy watching what's going on around him. Seems such a sunny-natured child!

And now another early night beckons ...

(Thank you for all the lovely responses to yesterblip's baby trotty wagtail.)
