Strangler in the Forest

A majestic old Strangler Fig (Ficus watkinsiana) is a feature of the delightful Wampoo Circuit walk through the sub-tropical rainforest of Mapleton Falls National Park in SE Queensland. We walked there this morning on a warm sunny morning after a cool night. It’s just a few minutes drive from our BandB cabin.  This webpage by the Australian Native Plants Society has some information on the species.
